Acrylic Dome Skylight
The image on the right shows the air space created between the outer and inner acrylic domes, which is more energy efficient than a single-dome design. These two layers trap air to form a thermal barrier. As the size of the skylight increases, so does the air space, further improving insulation. This helps retain heat during the winter and keep cooler air inside during the summer. The dual-dome design also enhances condensation control and sound insulation, while the curved shape effectively sheds water.
Skylight Protection
Insulated glass skylights provide superior energy efficiency and our maximum protection against harmful UV rays. Our tempered glass exterior layer over the laminated glass provides more than just energy benefits. Tempered glass is highly used for its fire resistance and impact resistant features. The laminated glass provides increased breakage protection.
